"Smudge"

Smudge will grow up to be a standard sized wool/fleece Labradoodle. He shouldnt shed really at all as he has a very good coat like his dad Curly.

"He is eating well, sleeping sometimes, playing often, resting inbetween times, delighting everyone ......... 24 hours a day. He is inspiring some very creative ideas for dog toys and sleeping head rests! He just loves lying on the bare tiles in my kitchen! Today's discovery was that it is such fun to put both front paws and your head into your water bowl, doggy paddle all the water out onto the floor, then slide about in it trying to run away"
"Everything is going superbly well. I knew this would make me happy but I had no idea how much. Smudge is very very happy too ........ went through the night last night, and was just sitting there wagging his tail happily waiting for me this morning. He has a wonderful nature - a real boy, playful, boisterous, brave and relaxed" |

"Hi - it was so nice to meet you and David and all the dogs yesterday. We had a long but uneventful journey home (6 hours - terrible traffic). Half of breakfast was regurgitated ....... the rest before we reached the M4. He slept on and off through the rest of the journey, only occasionally becoming a little restless, or accepting a little water. Dribbled continuously, but no wee or poo. We stopped regularly and offered him newspaper to squat on in the car, but he wasn't having any of that. As soon as we got home he released a lake and several logs onto the kitchen tiles. What a hero! To hold all that in for six hours. He then ate a hearty dinner - absolutely no problems whatsoever with food or water or toileting .............. this is one very healthy, very happy, very clever puppy! He loves his crate and slept in it last night (with me on an air bed beside it ...... I'm going to gradually distance myself from giving him company overnight ...........) ..... he only occasionally whimpered, absolutely no barking, and was quickly placated by having a little chew on my fingers .............. woke me up about 6am with a lovely squidgy poo ............. how many scoops of milk porridge should I be giving him at bedtime by the way? We are so happy Lisa. Having a labradoodle is better than having a face lift - it has taken ten years off me because I haven't stopped smiling. We held him all the way home and they are well and truly bonded. We are 99.9% certain we are going to call him "Smudge" ......... we all love the name, not that he has any smudgy characteristics, and we are going to try it for size for the rest of the weekend, so I'll confirm with you on Monday that that will be his name (or not). Thank you again for everything. You are a very special lady."
"three calendar months old (93 days). Smudge now weighs 8.2 kilos. Very happy and healthy. He has completely changed my life. My day has been extended by at least three hours (most of them before breakfast!) and I have burned off three kilos with all the extra exercise. He loves to play and explore and we are rediscovering all the beautiful countryside around this area"
