Well, what can we say?! We know pup looked cute but nothing compares to meeting him. I was completely taken aback (as was my husband) at how gorgeous - and friendly he was. First impressions are, as you say, of a little pup full of fun, very loving but a sense of calm. We couldn't believe how good he was on the trip home. The only time he yelped was when the children were eating tubes of yoghurt and there was a strong smell of milk and even then it lasted 30 seconds and he lay down peacefully. I imagine he'll make some noise this evening as he doesn't like you disappearing for too long- understandably when he is used to being in his pack but he seems to be so easily placated.

We put the children to bed within a short time of returning and although they helped feed pup (we still haven't decided on a name- but it is likely to be Hamish, Dougal or Max!) we felt it was best to let him explore his surroundings undisturbed by the children and he was so sweet. He came to me for a cuddle first, explored close by then returned for a cuddle, a bit further the next time and back for cuddle etc. Just like a baby would who's begun to crawl. He is currently lying asleep between my husband's feet. He seems a very relaxed pup .
